In my mail this morning from Spirituality and Practice (see the link below), I found this beautiful video which is a virtual exegesis of a painting by one of my very favorites, Albrecht Durer. Painted in 1503, "The Large Piece of Turf" was a radical shift from the way artists had depicted landscape because it was such a detailed depiction of a small piece of ground. I hope you listen to this video and then look closely outside at the minutia of God's great creation, which we so often miss. Even lie down and see it at ground level, and perhaps count how many different shades of green you see. Crayola doesn't have anything on God in the color department! Happy Saturday!!
