The Lord is her shepherd
I have a friend who has stage four colon cancer, and she is very very sick. But she is also very very strong, and she is not giving up. Her faith screams out to everyone who knows her, "I believe, I believe and God heals! Live life to the fullest, God will never ever leave your side." As God would have it, the random scripture assigned to her when she offered to write a Lenten meditation was Psalm 23...(yes, from her hospital bed she wrote!)
And so I offer it to you today with her name in it. Please pray for her, and then you can add whatever name you choose to it. A wise friend shared this prayer practice with me years ago...it touches the prayer and the prayee deeply!
The Lord is Lisa's shepherd; Lisa shall not want.
He maketh Lisa to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth Lisa beside the still waters.
He restoreth Lisa's soul: he leadeth Lisa in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though Lisa walk through the valley of the shadow of death, Lisa will fear no evil: for thou art with her; thy rod and thy staff they comfort her.
Thou preparest a table before Lisa in the presence of her enemies: thou anointest Lisa's head with oil; her cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow Lisa all the days of her life: and she will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
