What Wondrous Love

Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no share with me.”

Yes, you read it right. Jesus said he was going to wash his disciples. They ate and drank wine, he said this is my body this is my blood and then he said I am going to wash your feet.

and tonight many of us will do the same. We will take off our shoes and sit at each other's feet, washing and stroking with care and love. That's what we do on Maundy Thursday because Maundy comes from the Latin word mandatum (mandate) command.

Jesus said, "This is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this..."

What wondrous love...

and the heartbreak begins.
