Psalm 71. O God, you have taught me since I was young, * and to this day I tell of your wonderful works.

On a Friday morning in August, I saw this double rainbow: full, complete and powerful. I have spent time in both places where the "pots of gold" were; I was speechless.

It was clearly a sign, the first sign from God I ever learned about, one of God's "wonderful works."

I felt like Noah!

The following Tuesday when I met with my Discipleship Group, I was reminded of the vow we take about learning:

"By God's Grace, I will read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest (BCP p. 236) the Holy Scriptures, trusting their are 'inspired by God' for my 'training in righteousness' (2 Tim. 3:16) working toward knowledge of the entire book."

Many mysteriously holy events have happened since I saw that rainbow; I choose to believe God wanted me to pay attention in a new and different way. When the roygbiv colors were so clear I felt as though I could touch them, I knew this was an important and "wonderful work!"

Where have you seen God's signs?

How has God gotten your attention?

and how has your "training in righteousness" enabled you to hear God calling in a new and different way?
