Christ in you, the Hope of Glory!

A friend commented about the egregious nature of our world right now and how difficult it is to find hope in the horror of the actions of people and presidents...
"There is a gaping hole in me, and the light, wonder and revelation of Epiphany are hard to feel right now, she said." Sigh...so sadly true.
And yet, Paul's letter to the people of Colossae this morning gives us hope in the face of these difficult times. We hear the reassurance that God chose to make known the riches of the glory of the mystery of the word of God which is Christ in us, the hope of glory! and then he goes on to say he toils and struggles with all the energy he can glean which is inspired by God.
When I heard this song by Jon Guerra on Pray as you Go this morning, I found it to be such a reminder of who this Jesus is, this Christ who is our hope of glory. And how worthwhile the struggle is to glean the energy of the inspiration from God! Onward Christian Soldiers...Be Light, Be Kind, Be Gracious and live into Christ in us, the hope of Glory!
