Speaking to Lampposts and Watching Flowers Grow

Today is the last Sunday after the Epiphany and the last Sunday before Lent. As I reflected this morning on what my Lenten discipline might look like, this song came to mind and especially the first line "Slow Down." Listening to this version of it with more intention than ever before, I heard the beautiful suggestion of speaking to lampposts and watching flowers grow and asking for rhymes from the experience. What a wonderful way to slow down!
