As Long as the Sun and Moon Endure...
Psalm 72
He shall live as long as the sun and moon endure, from one generation to another... there shall be abundance of peace till the moon shall be no more.
These are hard times. We are fighting on two fronts: the pandemic of COVID and the pandemic of suffocation. We are divided as a nation as to the best approach to these pandemics, and "united we stand, divided we fall."
Psalm 72 appointed for today reminds us of the sure and constant presence of God. In the epistle for today, Paul writes to the Galatians about his conversion after the terrible violence he inflicted on Christians.
There is hope, and we must claim it, but as the saying goes, "Dear God, please hurry."
